Ride on air
This car literally rides on air. Instead of a gasoline engine, they have created an engine that runs off of compressed air. They claim it can go 200 km a day, reach speeds of 220 km/h, the oil will only need to be changed every 50,000 km, and you get free air conditioning by redirecting the exhaust. And of course, there's no pollution.
BTW, 200 km is about 125 miles.
To make it more useful, the engine can be equipped to be a hybrid motor, so that when the air runs out, you can run off of fossil fuels. Thus making the car more likely to be accepted.
Mind you, I think they're going to have to make it look a little bit nicer before they can market it in the US.
