The panel can be used day or night to charge and run handheld devices like..Mobile Phones, PDA's, CD and MiniDisk players, MP3 Players, GPS, GameBoy, etc.

But the bad part is the length of time it takes to recharge. In bright sunlight you can expect the SolarEFX to be fully charged from flat in approximately 5 hours. But, internal lights and dull days will work, it just takes longer.

If you intend to recharge a mobile phone from a fully charged SolarEFX with no light available, you can expect to charge the phone to around 50% of its maximum capacity before the internal batteries within the SolarEFX are exhausted. In sunlight, the SolarEFX will replenish its own batteries as the external device is being charged.
